The Step-Saver manual pool cover systems has two methods of removing a pool cover from your pool: Original turn handle (one or two handles) — Makes removal of the pool cover on a standard-sized pool a less strenuous task than “anchor” type pool covers.

Power Wheel (optional) — The Power Wheel helps to make cover removal easier than the handle(s), although there is no assurance that one person* can remove the cover alone. There are several factors to consider when determining the effectiveness of a Power Wheel: the person, the pool size, and the pool shape (on free-form pools deck drag may occur).

The Power Wheel option also adapts for operation from inside a recessed housing. Both Step-Saver options offer years of maintenance-free operation, at a significant savings over alternative systems. In fact, there's not a better value in pool covers than Step-Saver. Step-Saver is ideal for pool owners who eventually plan to upgrade to an automatic pool cover—everything but the power mechanism is already in place.

NOTE: *Most applications will require two people; however, depending on the person and the pool configuration combination, it may be possible to remove the pool cover with one person.
